Special treatment
Interactive groups and individual therapy sessions designed to treat co-occurring conditions led by licensed therapists. There are 100 coping skills taught in Seeking Safety and every skill applies to both trauma and addiction simultaneously.
Anger and substance use disorders often co-occur, increasing the risk for negative consequences such as
physical aggression, self-harm, distressed relationships, loss of a job, or criminal justice involvement. Our licensed therapists apply this curriculum with compassion as it addresses these topics head on.
AZBHOS has an Intensive Outpatient Program that consists of a scheduled series of in person, phone, and out in the community sessions appropriate to the family focused or client- centered plans of the clients served. Family Centered treatment and focus: Family-centered care is a way of providing services that assures the health and well-being of children and their families through respectful family/professional partnerships. It honors the strengths, cultures, traditions, and expertise that families and professionals bring to this relationship. Family-centered care improves the patient’s and family’s experience with health care, reduces stress, improves communication, reduces conflict (including lawsuits), and improves the health of children with chronic health conditions. We use CBT, DBT and Motivational Interviewing to deliver our therapy. We believe that it is up to the client to take the actions necessary to change their behavior.
CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy) and DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy) are two forms of psychotherapy or “talk therapy.” In both, you work with a mental health professional to learn more about the challenges you experience and learn skills to help members manage their challenges on their own.
It is very important that our members have the skills and knowledge that enables each to properly care for themselves both inside and out. Our RN maintains weekly check ups with those members in need of professional (RN) medical advice. This helps to eliminate unnecessary and costly ER visits.. We have care packages for all our members and provide basic toiletries, clothing, shoes, and food as needed.
We provide parenting and family Centered skill building, problem solving, family reunification services and classes that are engaging, fun and interactive based on the family needs and culture. We have a full series of White Bison, Wellbriety courses for the Native American family and individual.
